Now, obviously not everyone's work schedule will permit them to attend for the entire length of the party. For those folks, we welcome you to come and go as you can. If you'd like to come Friday night and game a few hours but have to work Saturday, feel free to leave your computer at our house connected to the network. I'm sure we can find someone to fill your seat while you're gone :)

We'll be playing all the old stand-by games - MoHAA, CoD and UT. In addition, I'd like to try and get a multiplayer game of Far Cry up. Should time and interest permit, we may also do some RTSing, a la Age of Mythology or some such. Also present will be a Gamecube with the old favorites (Mariokart, SC2, Super Smash Brothers, etc.).

Due to my budgetary constraints, I'm afraid I'm going to have to declare this event BYOB. Any snacks, soda or alcoholic beverages you might require during the event should be brought with you. We can pitch in for pizza, burgers, etc. during the LAN itself. If we want to take up a collection, I'm more than willing to make a large snack/beverage run the day before.

Two things I want people to keep in mind:

Unless you're computer's already at my house with a set of speakers attached to it, try to bring a pair of headphones instead. It makes things a little easier for those gaming around you and keeps the overall noise level at a slightly more manageable level.
Those of you with large (>17") CRTs may consider bringing a smaller monitor if you have one. If not, it's no big deal, but we do have to try and fit at least three (maybe four) gamers with computers around my kitchen table, so the smaller the tube the better. I have one 15" CRT that someone can use if they'd like. Again, it's no big deal. I just know that some of us have more than one old monitor available and want to encourage those of you who do to bring the smaller of your collection :)
Please hit Windows Update and get the latest patches and updates for your operating system before attending.

What you will need to bring:

Your entire computer - computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse/trackball, speakers/headphones.
Discs for any games you own that you might want to play. We will have a wide assortment of games available, but if you have your own (or better yet, already have them installed) it'll make things go a lot quicker.
Snacks, soda, water, tea, coffee, beer, methamphetamines (I keed).
