A serious case of Teh Mondays™

After a stellar weekend spent hanging out with Jessi and playing games (a bit o' CoD, MoHAA and Far Cry in preparation for our upcoming LAN), I returned to work today with a profound sense of "blech." It's very hard to motivate a group of people to do quality work when their future is in jeopardy and their skills and hard work will have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not they keep their job. For the first time, I face an uncertain future here and it's kind of freaking me out. Granted, I have at least six months to get myself straight so honing my buttkissing skills so I can stay on here (or rather over at IoT) or getting my resume polished so I can jump ship shouldn't be too large a task. Still, I find the whole thing rather overwhelming. No matter, this weekend I will engage in the wholesale slaughter of pixels and polygons. All will be right with the world.

So...gas prices are high again. Is there a reason we're not in open revolt against the government that's kept the petroleum industry rolling in cash while alternative fuel sources have gone largely untapped? Oh, sorry. Had to get my dirty hippy moment in for the week.

Oh, sod it. This was going to be a great, dreary rant for a great, dreary Monday. The bottom line is that I just need to go home and relax for a while. Good thing I'm leaving early today.

Anyway, hope things are good with everyone else. I'll see if I can't work up the motivation to post something a little more substantial tomorrow.
