"History will be kind to me because I intend to write it."
nbsp; - Sir Winston Churchill

Tonight, across a kitchen table in Westfield, Indiana, I will face my arch nemesis in a no-holds-barred fight-to-the-death for domination of the world. My enemy? My oldest brother and teacher in the ways of Axis & Allies, Andy. The battlefield? Three games, Axis & Allies, Axis & Allies: Europe and Axis & Allies: Pacific.
My brother first taught me how to play A&A when I was thirteen. From then up until I was about 21 or so, he consistently handed me a beatdown every time we played. I had an eye for strategy, but was impatient and rash. One bad turn or thwarted attack and I would become reckless. Now, in my (relative) older age, I have developed a patience and rationality which has enabled me to go 3-2 with him in our last five encounters. Not bad against a man who's been playing the game for ten years longer than I have.
So, as you all go to the movies or do whatever it is you do on a Friday night, know that somewhere in the middle of a corn field, the fate of the world is being decided.
Happy Friday everyone!
